‘Kitabu’ from Mantra Lingua comprises the entire catalogue of Mantra’s dual language books in a range of languages with additional interactive content. Kitabu includes some content that is aimed at learners in secondary phase, for example key terms explained in maths. Kitabu is a paid-for app.
‘Nabu’ offers a range of books in various languages aimed at younger children, including many that are spoken in countries in Africa. Some of the Nabu e-books have audio capability. Nabu is free.
‘Unite For Literacy’ is an American site with e-books aimed at younger readers. The books have audio narration in different languages. Note that not all the books are available with audio narration in all the languages offered; choose a language from the drop-down list to see which titles are available in that language. Unite For Literacy is free.
‘WorldStories’ offers story books for younger children in a range of languages. The books are translated but there is no audio facility. World Stories is free.
‘Storybooks Canada’ is a collection of graded reading books in various languages. Storybooks Canada is free. LIDA Stories
For secondary aged learners ‘Open Culture’ has audio books including many set texts by authors such as Austen, Dickens Orwell and Shakespeare. Open Culture is free.
Hampshire Libraries offer books online, many with audio. Hampshire Libraries’ services are free.
‘Book Creator’ allows children to create their own audio-enabled e-books.
